Reduction in binge-eating frequency after eight weeks
These percentages describe changes in episode frequency, not cure or responder rates.
SerenQ® reduced binge-eating frequency by 23 percentage points more than the in-person care group.
A percentage point (pp) is the unit used for the difference between two percentages.
p = 0.0031Source: WELT trial summaries (WCTP-ED-B-01 and WCTP-ED-D-01), September 2026. Results apply to the studied conditions.
Observed changes in binge-eating frequency after eight weeks of SerenQ® treatment.
Building on this eating-behavior expertise, WELT is pursuing expansion into obesity and metabolic care.
The BMI ≥25 subgroup is included in the overall treatment group. The 66% and 76% values describe observed reductions; they are not a comparison of independent trial arms or confirmation that treatment efficacy differs by obesity status.
Within the BMI ≥25 subgroup, binge-eating frequency decreased by 76.0% with SerenQ® and 36.9% with in-person care at eight weeks—a difference of 39.1 percentage points.
These are reductions in binge-eating frequency, not body weight or BMI. Current authorization covers improvement of binge-eating symptoms in patients with eating disorders. These subgroup findings from the company clinical trial summary do not demonstrate weight loss or establish authorization for obesity treatment.
