Prescribing questions

What registration is needed?

Confirm the hospital’s and clinician’s NECA registration requirements and status. WELT can help with the application and onboarding process.

How does the patient activate SleepQ®?

After installing SleepQ® and creating an account, the patient registers an itemized medical bill or SleepQ® code. Ask them to begin by recording the previous night’s sleep.

Which codes appear in the prescribing guide?

The 2026 clinician guide lists TX010 for SleepQ® use, TU001 for initial prescribing and TU002 for outcome assessment, with assessment results recorded under JS017. Check current rules and hospital eligibility before billing.

What should patients know before treatment?

Explain the six-week program, daily sleep diary and sleep schedule. Initial tiredness or discomfort can occur; patients should consult their clinician if symptoms are severe or persistent. Confirm contact details for care calls.

Can patients use SleepQ® again after six weeks?

After reviewing progress, the clinician may decide whether another prescription is appropriate. Consult the guide and current billing rules for repeat prescriptions.
